Bournemouth Air Festival 28th to 31st August 2008 - Travel Information |
Due to the high volumes of spectators expected for the Air Festival; we expect heavy traffic congestion in and around the Bournemouth and Boscombe Seafront areas. Rather than sit in traffic queues; why not consider taking the bus or train for a change? Buses can take you directly to Bournemouth and Boscombe seafronts.
All buses that serve Bournemouth Centre/Square either pass alongside the seafront or town centre, from where it's a short walk through the gardens to the pier.
From Boscombe there is a frequent bus - number 11 - which links Boscombe Centre to Boscombe Pier. Click here for more information (opens in new window).
There will be a coach drop off point in Gervis Road with coach parking at Queens Road, Westbourne which can be accessed off the A338.
There will also be limited overflow coach parking at Cotlands Road car park on Saturday 30th & Sunday 31st August situated along from Bournemouth Train Station.
