The Blue Badge Scheme (often referred to as the Disabled Parking Scheme); provides a national arrangement of parking concessions for people with severe walking difficulties; who travel either as vehicle drivers or passengers. The Scheme also applies to registered blind people; and people with very severe upper limb disabilities who regularly drive a vehicle but cannot turn a steering wheel by hand.

Individuals with qualifying disabilities and (in certain cases) organisations transporting individuals with qualifying disabilities, are entitled to a 'Blue Badge'. The Blue Badge entitles the holder (or their driver) to park close to their destination. Please note; the national concession applies only to on-street parking.

For details of how you can apply for a Blue Badge, please select the link above for where you live.
