Some of our drivers

A Volunteer driver collects a client from his home, before driving him to the Stroke Club at Christchurch Hospital.

Social Car Scheme

In addition to the BAT Bus, Bournemouth Community Transport operate a Social Car Scheme which is available to residents of the Bournemouth Borough postcode areas BH1 - BH11 who are unable to use public transport for the journey required. Help may be required for essential journeys such as doctor, dentist, chiropody appointments, morning hospital/clinic appointments, luncheon and fellowship groups etc.

A team of Volunteer drivers is available, using their own cars, to transport clients. A small mileage charge is made for this service. For more information about this service, whether to book a car, or to volunteer as a driver, please call Dave Parsons on 01202 399700.
